As a continuation of the series of annual French-CERN-Ukrainian instrumentation school and in the framework of the international laboratory LIA IDEATE, V.N. Karazin Kharkiv National University and Oles Honchar Dnipro National University will host the 3nd French-CERN-Ukrainian School on High-Energy and Medical Physics on March 2-6, 2020. Cross-fertilization between particle physics detectors and imaging tools is constantly bringing benefits to the medical field: these are not only related to diagnosis, but also to therapy, as faster and more sensitive detectors can allow for in-vivo monitoring during irradiation. The invited lectures will cover state-of-the-art radiation detector technologies and advanced imaging systems for biological and medical research. This school is addressed to the wide audience and provides a discussion platform of new developments in related instrumentation and techniques, treatment using particle therapy and radio-guided operative cancer surgery, quantitative models of tumors. The CERN expertise in medical physics research will be also presented.
